I’m not exaggerating when I say this app from iHandy Inc. is a lifesaver. I first stumbled upon it when I was perusing the top free Apps for iPhone. I thought, “well, I do lose the remote control in the dark often, and this’ll certainly help me find it without having to get up and turn on the light.” Not even three minutes later it was installed. This free app works by turning on your iPhone’s camera flash and keeping it on until you press the virtual button which disables it. I’ve used it some since then, with cool features like “swipe for strobe light” and a built-in compass for those lost souls in the woods. (Ugh, can you imagine being lost at night? I don't know what I'd do). Just last night my car started acting up at night and my dad had to take a look, but before he could send me to the garage to look for a flashlight that I wasn’t going to find (let’s face it, who ever finds them once they’ve been stored away?) I whipped out my iPhone and illuminated the failing motor engine. Yes I probably have to find a new car, and yes my world’s falling apart but hey, I’ve got an instant flashlight. Just a word of advice: if you ever do get desperately lost in the woods with wolves chasing you and happen to have this app, just make sure you have a fairly full battery cause it tends to suck up juice pretty quick. Happy Apping
